Love the flashlight / floodlight metaphor. And you know what? YOU, my dear, have been one of the most influential beloveds in my life when it comes to many things…and especially when it comes to heart centered, open communication. I loved our time living on Kauai…and being blessed to observe your Goddess Mama willingness to see your children as the teachers/shining lights that they are. I learned much from your grace and power in communicating compassionately and directly with all those who surround you.

To this day, when it’s time to ‘circle up’ to discuss what ever is up in our worlds…I think of you. And I smile. I agree 100 bazillion percent with what you’ve written and I too am in appreciation and reverence of it all…and everyone’s role within the all.

Embracing darkness and illuminating it with light the only way I know how. With great love and joy…and my attention leaning in the direction of my heart’s bliss… Mmmm. Feels so good.

There is a tendency for us humans to yell “NO” to what we don’t like or what we fear. I’m with you. My children have been the best teachers in my life for trying to change that habit/pattern (really that’s all it is) into a more positive way of communicating my pleasures and displeasures. Abraham-Hicks, Non-violent Communication, The Sedona Method and many other teachings have made their way along my life path to help me unwind that tangled yarn ball of negative thinking.

Sometimes we recognize what we don’t want before we recognize what we do want. On an individual level I’m working to put more do’s than don’ts in my vibration. At the same time I am in deep appreciation for those in the world who are willing to rise up and yell out loud what they don’t want because for me it is a kind of flashlight. If each one of us can step back and not only realize, but accept the idea that we are always, without exception, always co-creating our reality. One day, when the “anti…” experiment is over, when humanity retires it as a dysfunctional and unsustainable road to happiness, you will find yourself in the company of many many more PollyAnnas.
