Remember the movie, ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’? Being a big Madonna fan, I remember it being a fun movie; and more than anything it’s the title that has stuck with me over the years.
Just recently I was talking with our realtor about creating a new marketing flyer for the house we’re selling in Colorado. She thought it would be fun to play with the idea of “Seeking the Mystery Buyer”.
While this idea got my creative juices flowing, it stimulated my passion for Re-Framing.
3 Great Words to Re-Frame:
- Desperately
- Seeking
- Mystery
The word “seeking” within the ’seeking the mystery buyer’ idea reminded me immediately of the movie title, ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’. And when it did I literally laughed out loud and said, “Oh no, this little conscious creator will not give power to desperate anything!”
I am not desperate. I have no desire to be desperate. Immediately the magic of a re-frame appeared across the movie screen of my mind’s eye.
Desperately … Re-Frame … Deliberately
Ah yes! But of course! My friend, Deliberate.
Deliberate = Conscious, with intention, in charge, on purpose, with meaning, by choice…Deliberate. Perfect.
My attention then turned to “seeking”. Hmmm… “Nope, seeking will not do”, I thought.
Seeking implies I’m looking for something outside of myself…perhaps even something I can’t find, something out of reach, something not readily available to me, something hiding from me.
None of those scenarios give me any FEEL GOOD. The vibes I feel conjure feelings of hopelessness and despair. No thank you.
In my world everything I need and desire comes to me. I am a magnet. Magnets attract. Bull’s eye! My re-frame for “seeking” is “Attracting”!
Seeking … Re-Frame … Attracting
Great! So now instead of ‘desperately seeking anything’ we have, ‘Deliberately Attracting Everything’. That FEELS SO GOOD! Yes?
In life I choose the vibe of deliberately attracting over desperately seeking every time. Can you feel the difference? Have you ever felt desperate about anything? How does feeling deliberate register instead?
Our internal Resonance Barometer measures each of them quite oppositely. Using our emotions as the indicator, we recognize that desperateness feels yucky and deliberateness feels good, positively charged.
We’ve been talking about Power lately, Authentic Power to be exact. It’s easy to see that Deliberately Attracting is beautifully grounded in Authentic Power; sourced from the inside with Love. YAY!
It’s no mystery~
In our realtor’s idea for ‘seeking the mystery buyer’, I felt one more word screaming to be re-framed. “Mystery”. I chuckled again thinking, “I may not know the buyer’s name or personal information, but this buyer is no ‘mystery’ to me.”
In fact, there are many things I know about our Perfect Buyer. **Did you catch the re-frame?
Mystery … Re-Frame … Perfect
As defined by my Mac Dictionary Friend ‘Perfect’ means: having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be; highly suitable for someone or something; exactly right.
That sounds so…PERFECT! :0) Right?
Our buyer is no mystery to me. I’m perfectly clear who our buyer is.
Our Perfect Buyer loves creative, peaceful environments, enjoys an incredible gourmet kitchen open to entertaining spaces, appreciates mature trees, privacy and being surrounded by nature with local conveniences just minutes away, adores the finer things~attention to detail and gorgeousness, recognizes an incredible deal when they see one, has a ready flow of accessible cash for a clean, smooth transaction, needs this house any time between now and fall of 2009.
Our perfect buyer knows quality, has dreamed of living in a house like this in a gorgeous, mature neighborhood like Fox Hill, and is blown away by the serendipity that drew them to this amazing house at this remarkably great price! Our perfect buyer knows all about deliberate attraction (consciously or not!) and being in the right place at the right time!
No mystery at all. Crystal clear. Perfect.
We are Deliberately Attracting the Perfect Buyer.
The Magic of a Re-Frame~
Re-framing our thoughts and intentions makes an enormous difference in what it is we attract. Let’s face it…we’re going to get what we ask for anyway…we may as well be conscious and deliberate about it!
Understand that as long as we are clear and deliberate in our wanting, in our asking, in our desiring; then we can go about enJOYing our lives, trusting that what we are attracting is brilliant, most likely surpassing and exceeding our highest imaginings and is already on its way to us.
Get clear. Get deliberate. Be BOLD in your declarations of what you want and always be open to being surprised at just how PERFECT, even *beyond perfect* the manifestations that are delivered to your doorstep are.
- What needs re-framing in your life?
- Have you re-framed anything lately?
- How does it feel?
Get your Authentic Power on. Give your thoughts…and your life…the Deliberate Re-Frame Attention YOU Deserve!!
What are you Deliberately Attracting? How Perfect is it? I’d love to hear about it!
And…just in case you’re reading this and you feel like you’re the Perfect Buyer we’re attracting, here’s a link to help you find your way to the most amazing house ever!

I am Deliberately Attracting All That I Want. You know, since I started consciously creating and choosing my thoughts and life, I too find it a challenge to read/hear un-empowering wordage.. I turn everything around to focus on what I want

Thanks for stopping by, Jeannette. You are a Queen of Re-Framing in my book and to know you found this post “hugely inspirational” feels really good.
7. July 2009 at 11:36 am
Wow Tia! “…the best post I’ve read all week”; thanks for that!
It’s funny, isn’t it…the power of Re-Framing is HUGE! And you’re right, now that we’ve given our attention to consciously choosing our thoughts & life, the opportunities for re-framing can be quite immense.
I’ve shared w/some of my clients that my re-frame signal is so attuned that sometimes I wonder if it’s a curse! LOL But, how could it be anything but a blessing to be able to see a more tapped in, tuned in, turned on, vibrationally amped-up way of seeing/saying things?!
Grateful for the blessing of being a re-framer. Grateful to have other Master Re-Framers like you and Jeannette in camp with me!
Thanks for sharing here, Tia! Love you!!
…and when I tweeted that I was ‘deliberately attracting conversation in the comments section’ you must have known I was seeing you within the ‘perfect commenters’! XO

I love this post Debra! I just shared it with a friend who is going through reframing of her own. I know she will love it as well.
I am deliberately attracting an assignment from one of my favorite magazines, such as Self, Shape, Yoga Journal, Health, Natural Health or an even “better” one! I am also deliberately attracting the most perfect, most wonderful yoga/spa retreat. It will be a 2-3 night getaway, with an amazing yoga teacher, delicious, healthy food, a nice group of people, nearby, very, very affordable and beyond comfortable accommodations. I am open, I am ready and I accept this or something even better right freaking now! Hear me, Universe!?!? Thank you in advance

Thanks for adding your powerful energy to the mix, Mark. I love, love, love that we are partners in our deliberate attracting. Such much more fun sharing these experiences with my beloved than it would be going it alone!
PLUS!! Our attracting vibe is exponentially greater this way, therefore our manifestations are extra yummy!
I love how you said, “…and our conscious refinement is continually guiding us along.” Yes, like an ever flowing stream of brilliance.
Love it. Love you. ~Deb

I see you sitting next to a natural pool, sipping an exotic elixir tonic, your skin is glowing, your body’s ecstatic from the best yoga session ever…you look radiant; how could you be anything less after the best night’s sleep you’ve had in forever! You are calm and at peace with the world and you feel inspiration for creativity in everything you see. You are refreshed, awake, alive. You LOVE this spa retreat…it’s better than you could have ever imagined!

Hi Judi…
So happy to hear you found your way here through Twitter! Am I following you? What’s your Twitter name?
Congratulations on what sounds like HUGE reason for JOY. I’m celebrating you feeling ‘fresh and inspired’!
I’m guessing your home based biz must have received an order request that requires a bit of a stretch, hm?
“Growing Pains” are interesting, aren’t they? We know they’re necessary…and even really worthwhile; after all growth is a good thing. It’s the pain part that can be challenging.
We can Re-Frame ‘growing pains’, too. If we understand that all things come to us when we’re ready; when the timing is right…then we also know that we have everything we need to see what’s come to us through.
It’s about trust. Remember, it’s our deliberate attracting that brings us what we ask for.
Let’s tell the story of how easy and miraculously graceful growing the business is…
It’s like magic how everything fell into place; like each piece of the puzzle knew it’s exact place, space and purpose. It’s incredible how everything that needed to show up in order for this to happen did…exactly when, where and how it needed to!
I couldn’t have orchestrated this better if I had tried. I just said yes, and showed up…and everything just lined up perfectly.
I used to relate to ‘growing pains’…now I realize that was a story I believed at the time, that good things were sometimes painful…you know, like ‘no pain, no gain’.
Not any more. That’s not my story. Things are so graceful and easy for me now. There’s no reason for pain. I can allow my life (and my growing business) to flow with grace and ease. Mmmm…that feels SO good!
Interesting…instead of growing pains this feels more like ‘Expanding Bliss’!
Here’s to Re-Frames that bring us greater JOY, GRACE & EASE in our lives.
Here’s to your biz ‘expanding blissfully’!
Thanks for sharing Judi. Keep in touch; love to hear all about your amazing successes!!
In Harmony… Debra

Reframing-This is one that I definitely find myself working on. In everyday life and my business life. I used to live life by the old mentality of thinking that “Prepare for the worse so the outcome won’t seem so bad”. I found myself with outcomes that were always not so bad. Bad being still negative. Now when I reframe to think of positive outcomes it’s amazing how things turn out even better then the positive outcome I perceived. Positively better is such a great feeling vs. half-bad. It is true when in this state things just seem to naturally fall into place. It’s not as hard or trying, it is grace and ease and I am just loving. Thanks, Deb for always keeping me on my toes, to reframe and rethink my everyday life’s occurrences to take on new meanings and new beginnings…

Great article! Well written and thought provoking. Great job!

Tracey! Thanks for sharing another perfect Re-Frame example with us!!
Your example of “preparing for the worst so the outcome won’t seem so bad…I found myself with outcomes that were always not so bad.” is great.
It’s funny right? Perspective is HUGE. In this frame we can say, “Whew! See things could have been worse.” YIKES! :0) How’s that for a message to the Universe…giving permission for things to be worse.
I LOVE your Re-Frame: “Now when I Re-Frame to think of positive outcomes it’s amazing how things turn out even better than the positive outcome I perceived.”
So cool how it works!! :0) MUCH better message to send the Universe, yes?
You’re very welcome, Tracey. It brings me great JOY to know you receive inspiration from my posts and that you feel they help guide the brilliance of your life’s experience.
Thanks for joining the conversation!
In Harmony… Deb
